I have a Dell Dimension 8250. I'am wanting to watch
VHS/DVD from a player on my computer screen. Do I have
the capablity or do I need to buy video cards for this?
Are ther special cables that have to be purchased? Do I
have to go through movie maker to view? I'am lost and
very new to this, any help would be appreciated?

Most folks want to go the other way and watch a DVD playing on their PC on
their TV screen! Since many graphics card have a tv-out capability, this is
quite an easy task.

However what you want to do is view the DVD.... first you'll need an analog
capture card or a graphics card with VIVO (video in video out) capability.

Then you'll need to capture and save your video... and only then will you be
able to watch it in WindowsMediaPlayer.

Look for the capture and hardware reviews at www.vcdhelp.com
