Hi Benny

Make sure you have fat saves, sorry I meant fast saves, turned off then
re-save. Tools -> options -> save -> untick 'allow fast saves'.

Thanks for reply :)
I tried it but without any difference in file size.

My 3.5 MB WAV file is now converted from a litte "32kbps MP3".

After the 3.5 MB WAV is imported, the PPS or PPT become increased by
about 3.5 MB (somehow locically).

The origin Powerpoint file is only 200 KB (with the loosed and a
similar WAV included).

So unless a newer version of Powerpoint can read "32kbps MP3" instead
of just WAV, then I don't get it.

Benny,

Try saving the powerpoint file with a totally new filename.

Also - incidently it is possible to get powerpoint to embed an MP3 file. As
opposed to an .wav file.

See
http://www.technologytrish.co.uk/pptembedmp3.html

This would really help make your file a lot smaller.

Thanks all :)

Now I found the get MP3 into PP.
Set sound to end after picture number 22. No in or out effects was
needed :)
The other menu said only WAV, but now it seems to work.
I have 22 large pictures and one minut with enya singing...

Look forward to read your links. (started as newbee 22 hours ago, so I
maybe going to sleep)... zzz

Benny,

I wrote my first PP file.

2 files in a ZIP: no1.pps + a MP3 file.

In order to test, I downloaded it to another computer that has
Powerpoint Viewer. That won't work.

Now that I havn't sleept 24 hours, I will wait to see if I can embed
it later (thanks for the embed link :)

The file is here -- My first ever made :) :)

Benny,
BTW. All photos shot by my self (of cause)...

A very nice presentation for a first time. Enya is an excellent choice as a background sound. The only thing I might change would be to add a few more pictures and adjust the transition time so that the music and the slideshow end at the same time. Good job.

....SNIP...

I think its now okay. I didn't put more photos into the show, but
found some bugs that is now fixed.

Most bugs was Microsoft things, such as
you can't upload a PPS file, because Microsoft OS change the PPS to
PPT when downloaded (even if write protected).

I also fixed this: Prevent users to mouse click for next image.
I couldn't remove the arrow keys, but I think I removed the little
menu in the lower left corner of my show file.

The direct download link is:

Benny :)

BTW. Sometimes the free PowerPoint Viewer, showed the slide text as it
was only one letter (heap)...

Another thing that was/is difficult was the photo + sound
synchronizing.
