Very slow

i've just install a computer with XP Pro + SP2 and office 2000 + SP3. When i
try to change a color text in a cell of a new file, for instance, Excel
needs
a few seconds to accept it, generally 20 or 30 seconds.
Could i change some options to solve these problems???

Try changing from a network printer to a local printer.
