very slow to save and close documents

i am part of an internal network system. When i open a
document from my favourites bar i have no problems.
However when i call up a previously saved document it
takes approx 30 secs to save an another 30 secs to close.
What might the problem be?
 
Hi Lazeeass,

which version of Office do you have, and is Outlook (NOT
Express) installed on your machine? (I don't care if you
never use it, the key factor is: is it installed)
