I have two Windows XP Pro desktops connected to a Windows
2003 server.
Logging on to the server and running the logon script
works fine, but very slow. It almost takes 5 minutes for
the Windows XP Pro desktops to startup completely.
What could be the cause of this slow behaviour?
The server is not too busy to handle the logon requests
and is only functioning as a PDC which handles logon
authentication.
Both the desktops and the server are at their default
settings. Just installed Windows XP Pro on the desktops
and installed 2003 server on the server. Made test users
on server and tried to logon. Network cards and switch
ports are all on 100/full duplex. Ip-addresses and subnet
ranges are correct.
Thanks for any replies!
