I use to backup my hard drive on a USB 2.0 external drive
It took about 20 minutes for 4 GB, 80 minutes for 14 GB, which is OK with me
I tried to back up over my local wireless network which operates smoothly at 54 Gbits/sec
After 1 hour, the backup tool tell it is planned to last 1 full day, which was right according what remained to do. The rate over the network never went up more than 1Gbit/sec, which was consistent with the numbers
Backing up to the server hard drive or to the USB external drive did not change anything. Something restrict the data flow wich is not the hard drive nor the network
I use the Windows NT backup with Windows XP Pr
Any idea
Thank
