ok so i formatted my pc and when i get to the windows install screen it says that

Setup was unable to to retrieve the product identification of the system you are installing. the windows xp media may be damaged.

now im very mad cause i formated my pc in november and still nothing rite now im using my back up pc so wat do i do
 
So you formatted it and installed Windows XP again from an original install CD?
 
yea i installed it wit a cd my friend gave me and when it was installing some files couldnt be found too
