VERY CURIOUS Intel RPO/100 VE Bootup Delay Problem

Ok, my computer has a 1 minute delay after startup. The comp does not freeze, but many programs do not work during this time and when I go to 'MY COMPUTER', it is searching for missing files. Now, with the help of my genius uncle, I figured out the problem. (FYI, I VENE INSTALLED A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VERSION OF XP THAN I HAVE AND FORMATTED MY HARD DRIVE AND STILL HAD THIS PROBLEM!!!) So, the problem is that my computer delays for 1minute immeaditly after startup because it is searching for some files DIRECTLY related to the program: 'Intel PRO/100 VE'. Also, after this 1minute period, everything is COMPLEATLY fine. If I remove this program, it is fine, no delay waht so ever. I have tried intalling supplements for this program and versions from the internet, but it is always the same. Plus, without this program, I CANT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET!!!! THIS THING IS SERIOUSLY PISSING ME OFF!!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!

Try running the new hardware wizard XP might have some

default drivers for your nic.
