Hello,

I have a LAN connected using D-LINK DSL-604+. On this network, an old PC
(pentium II 450MHz, 258M RAM) with windows XP, Apache, php mysql, Helix
serveur. The cable is 25m long, PC card is netgear FA312.

I test the bandwith from another modern PC windowsXP pentium4 1G RAM
connected to the router, using Ixia Qcheck tool.

From the old server to the new PC, I have a very regular bandwith, around 90
Mb/sec

From the new PC to the old oneserverI have a very irregular figure, ranging
between 2Mb/s and 100Kb/s. This means 50 to 1000 times less than nominal,
and a very eratic answer.

Does someone know where can this come from?

Thanks for any answer

Regards

It is very likely you have a duplex mismatch problem there. Try to change
your network adapters from Duplex type:"auto detect" to "full duplex". If
this does not help, try to set it to "half duplex".

Thanks for the answer.
I have tried that; does not work.

My guess (I'll check tomorrow), the cable itself might be damaged.
