very bad graphic gliches in game

When I play some vedio games on my computer (Ex. GTA
vice city), very bad graphic gliches occur. I am using a
geforce fx 5200 graphics card. Could anyone tell me how
to fix this problem???

What kind of "glitches"?

The most likely cause is heat. When my Geeforce4 MX440 gets really hot (it is a
fanless model...), I start getting things like messed up textures, parts of the
screen don't get cleared properly when I move around, sometimes I get black
lines or dots all over, and eventually the picture freezes but the game keeps
going, and I have to reboot.

Or your problems could be caused by your drivers, or directx problems.
