Hello,

I am also having trouble with vertumonde.G. I have told Windows Defender to
remove the threat several times and then restarted as directed.
Unfortuntely, according to defender the threat has remained. I read the
resopnse to the similar questions and went to the website provided. I
downloaded the removal tool from symantec for the threat's name provided at
the website in the post and was informed that the threat was not found on my
computer. I'm not sure what else to do?

Hello agd,

About 10 threads down this page, they are solutions for virtumonde and
vertomunde.

Read Hijack This! tutorial so you can use Hijack This! and post its log in
the Dell Forum ªt:
http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board?board.id=si_hijack
Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe
http://computercops.biz/HijackThis.html
Save it to C:\hjt (new folder) then Open it and select Scan and Save Log.
Note where you saved the log then send it to him as an attachment. Put
Hijack in the subject so he'll know it's not spªm.
Put Ron K. in the subject so he will see it. You do not need to have a Dell
to post but you will need to register.
