Vertical writing

While editing my text, suddenly some 100-150 lines (from the middle of my
text) went to vertical, like:

m
y

c
o
m
p
u
t
e
r

so that some 70 new pages were created (each of them with 1 vertical line
only). When I try to remove "indents" (new line symbol) then the above lying
letter disappears. Can I restore original version of my text?

Thanks Jan Kowalski

Go to the area where the text is vertical and remove all indents. Then go to
Page Set-up and make sure that the margins are set correctly.

Unfortunetly, there are no indents; when I try to remove it, the above lying
letter disappears. Margins are set correctly (are same for the whole text,
but only part of it is crazy). Thank you....

Make sure the language is English (or at least not something Asian).

You are right, English is not my mother language. But, does it mean
anything? About 150 horizontal lines of my text are now vertical, one
"column" on one page and no editing tools would change it, ie. recover my
text to its original layout. There are NO INDENTS, margins are correct....

I was not making any comment about your mother language, just suggesting
that sometimes when text goes vertical it's because it's been formatted as,
say, Chinese. Select some text, go to Tools | Language | Set Language and
make sure that the language setting is the one you normally use.
