Hi,

My computer crashed while I was away from it and after rebooting, my
taskbar is now placed vertically on the right of my screen, instead of
horizontally at the bottom of the screen.

I looked at desktop advanced settings, but the only thing I can do is
make the taskbar wider or thinner, not move it back down to the
bottom. Can someone please tell me how to move the taskbar back where
it should be? Thank you!

G.

Hover the mouse somewhere in the center of the bar, left-click and drag it
back to the bottom.

Hi, it worked for the quick launch bar, but not the taskbar and
systray. Is there another way? Thank you!

Doesn't make sense since the quick launch bar is integral to the task bar.
What happens if you logon as a new user?

Hi again,

It worked just now - I clicked on the lower right hand corner of the
taskbar and dragged it downwards and it moved back into horizontal
position on the bottom. It did cover the Quick Launch bar, but I got
that uncovered (I had my taskbar doubled but I guess one tier was the
Quick Launch bar). Thank you, again. :-)

I haven't tried that - I'm kind of scared to, actually, because then
I'd lose my desktop settings. But if this happens again, and I can't
get the taskbar back in place, maybe I'll see what happens if I try
that. Many thanks!
