Vertical scroll click goes too far

This seems like a sudden change, as though I accidentally
changed a setting: when I click in the gray area above or
below the slider in the scroll bar, I expect the page to
scroll up or down exactly one screen at a time (or maybe
with a little overlap so I can figure out where I am).
Instead, it's jumping at least a screen and a half with
each click, which I find disorienting.

Can anyone tell me how to make it go back to jumping just
one page at a time?

Caused by a bug in the recent Q824145 patch.
Microsoft probably knows about it by now.
By the time we get used to this 'new'
feature Microsoft will fix it!!

Thanks for your reply. Good to know it's not my
imagination or some goofy thing I did!

I had same problem after installing IE 6 patch q824145
Uninstall it and normal page scroll returns
If you don't want to uninstall then a workaround is to click close to the scroll button - this does a single page scroll
