Vertical lines won't stay put!

I have a couple simple vertical lines separating two sections on an input
form. They look swell on my monitor. When others view the form on different
monitors the lines are not in their original position. Other elements on the
page, such as a clip art image, stay in their relative postions. Why do the
lines wander, and how can I make them remain in place between the two
sections, no matter what the screen resolution or monitor size?

Jeanne,

Are you using the Line tool from the toolbox or a keyboard character like
underscore ( _ ) or dash ( - )?

I'm using the line tool. I've also tried using the rectangle tool to put in a
skinny tall box. Neither stays put.

I think I recall this happening to me sometime long ago. I suggest that you
create a new form, similar to the problem form. Create the lines and see if
they are still out of whack. If not then your form is corrupt. Then you can
try to correct the problem by decompiling the database (make a copy first),
then compact and repair. If you are using Access98 then it is repair and
compact. If that doesn't fix it, then make a new form and try copy and
pasting the controls a few at a time, testing as you go along. It may be
one control causing the problem, and you may discover it this way.

Please post back and let me know.

I want you to know that I appreciate your response, Mark. I'm overwhelmed
with more getting this and other reports into production on a deadline and
I'll probably have to just remove the wandering lines for the first
implementation. When I get a chance to deal with this cosmetic issue I'll try
your approach and let you know how it comes out.

Thanks.
