Vertical lines with Dell 922

When I print a word document with my 922, I get vertical lines through
the typed lines at some spots on the page. These lines will move
around each time you print. Anyone have any ideas.

Test print from a different application.
If the problem fails to appear, its cause
may be in the way you have WORD configured,
and expert advice may be sought in some of
the msnews.microsoft.com newsgroups like
microsoft.public.word.printingfonts

If your fault appears when printing in another
app, it is in the printer. Step one should be
via / start / settings / printers
to remove the printer completely, then
reinstal it from its CD.
 
I tried switching programs but it still prints the vertical lines. I
also uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but I still have the
vertical black lines. Any other suggestions?

Are these lines the same color as your ink or is it the lack of ink in
the letters...

If its due to ink not printing, then its safe to say you probably have
a clog in some nozzles.
 
The lines are black. It is almost like a nozzle is staying open too
long. I ordered a new cartridge so we will see if that takes care of
it. Thanks
