Hello,

I've installed the .NET framework v2.0 beta 2 on my computer, but when
I try to install SharpDevelop or other softwares, I still get a message
"You must have .NET framework v1.1" ...
Does someone know why ? Can't the 2.0 runtime execute 1.1 apps ?

Thank you :)

No, you need 1.1 to run 1.1 apps.

Thank you :-|

But why isn't there any ascendant compatibility ?
All the apps compiled with 1.1 ... won't work when users download 2.0
runtime ? :-o

:

"Anyone know if 1.1 code will run on framework 2.0? I'm hesitant to
continue developing on 1.1 if I know I'll have issues running my apps
on a 2.0 platform..."
"Yes, 1.1 code will run on 2.0, but not the other way around. In fact,
1.1 code runs better on version 2.0 than it did on version 1.1."
