Version Control of Your Web Site

Hello from Dallas

I keep all my web pages in a folders called "XXX Web site R5.0" where the
"R" means revision. My plan was to create a new folder such as "XXX Web site
R6.0" when I am ready to create major revisions to my pages. This way (in
theory) I can keep the last major revision with no changes in case there are
some major issues.

Thus using this method I cannot determine how to copy the R5 to the R6
folder. If I a manually copy the files on the system then FrontPage does not
keep all the links in place and will have to rebuild. Plus I really want to
use things like action items, and more that are in the application.

Any suggestions?

Don't copy anything
Publish your current version before changes w/ FP to a new disc based web (or subweb) w/ the new name
- also never use any spaces or dot punctuation in FP web names
(use say: XXX_Web_site_R5-0)
