I run a NTFS format drive with multiple users on XP. 614
and previous has run perfectly well, however 615 has
brought me problems. MAS only now works on the profile
which it was originally was installed, the others crash
out with error messages.

Tried clean re-install, deleting the registry keys and yte
various fixes on the forum etc but to no avail. So I have
removed it from the PC, which is a shame as I liked the
product.

Back to the trusty Spybot and AdAware.

I have experienced the same issue with build 615.
Previous builds ran fine under multiple (even restricted
user) profiles. However, in build 615 when a different
user's profile is loaded, the security agents report the
following error on load "Unexpected error; quitting". I
have tried uninstalling, then manually deleting the left-
overs from the uninstall (both file and registry), then
running a registry cleaner to remove the other junk left
behind by the uninstaller, then re-installing and this did
not solve the problem either.

Please fix this annoying issue. Otherwise the product is
unusable for me, my family, my friends, and my colleagues
who all run Windows as normal (non-administrative) users.

I've found a fix. Grant the SYSTEM account Full Control
permissions on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes
registry key. This should reset the incorrectly set
permissions on this key back to their inheritable settings.

For some reason the build 615 installer is setting the
permissions on its registry keys so that only the profile
who installs the software can access them.
