I created a movie using Version 1 and I was able to play
the CD-RW on my DVD player. I created a nearly identical
movie - using the same video input - with Version 2 and
it will not play on the DVD player. What's up with that?
Any and all assitance is greatly appreciated

Since you give so little info I doubt anyone will be able to help.

In you post you state

"I created a nearly identical movie"

so there was a difference, and that difference mattered to your DVD player.
It could be the brand/type of disc, it could be that the disc was not
finalized, it could be that a different bitrate was used in encoding that is
not recognized, etc.

Without providing more details, you are kinda on you own with this one...

Guess I was a little short on details, but I did find an
answer by going to Papa John's site.
Apparently MM2 does not provide CD burning capabilities.
(At least, not with currently available technology.)
Seems like a major drawback that should have been
mentioned with the download information.
Oh well.

WMM2 does indeed allow you to burn a movie to a CD.

However, the CD uses a format called HighMAT which you can not playback on
any consumer-available stand-alone DVD player; you need a PC. See other
posts or http://papajohn.org for further discussion.

I use Sonic MyDVD Video Suite; it works very well, delivers great quality,
and will accept ,mpg, dv-avi, and wmv files. The discs created with it work
on every standalone player I have ever tried (DVD - R). It lets you create
custom menus and motion menus.
I highly recommend it.
