verizon home page in internet explorer

i can not customize my home page in dsl start with verizon in internet
explorer. the needed button to do so does not appear for me to log in and
thus make changes. contacted verizon and they said it was a microsoft
problem..? any suggestions on how to solve this problem? thanks so much.

Go to http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Scroll down to "Various Registry Fixes." There is a .reg file to unlock this
option.

Or... If you have Spybot S&D installed, open it in Advanced mode and check
the Immunize settings. You may have inadvertently set this restriction.

I had the same problem. Spent many hours with Verizon. By accident I
discovered that turning off my pop up add blocker on Norton cleared the
problem. It gave me the button to sign on. Hope this helps.
P.S I turn the add blocker on after I get my home page...
