If anyone was running "Adaware" and AVG found the virus
"verifierbug.class" and you can't find it to remove let me know. I
spent three hours figuring out what was going on and how to remove it.
I didn't find any real help on the internet.

Thanks for the info. The problem was that the virus was in a
compressed probably zip file in the java files. AVG could not find it
because it was in a zip file, I guess. "Adaware" uncompresses files to
look for spyware and that let AVG find it. The next problem was that
"Adaware, must make a temp folder to hold the uncompressed file while
it is looking for spyware and AVG thought the virus was in the Adaware
folder. I finally found that it was in the java cache files that
contained maybe a hundred zip files. I finally deleted all of the java
cache files. I was still getting the warnig while running Adaware that
the virus still existed. Finally I realized that it was now finding it
in the recycle bin. Cleared out the recycle bin and finally, it was
gone. What a pain. I can't believe I am the only one this has happened
too.

Nope,

It happened to me and it came back untill i switched on and off system
restore! winxp makes regular back ups including the java cache files and the
zip tracking cookies!
Safe mode also allows you to remove them.

Maybe you are the only one still using Microsoft's Java, that they won't
be supporting anymore. I've been using Sun's Java code for a while now.

version!

I am using Sun Java. I finally found by going to control panel and
clicking on Java there was a tab that let me delete the cache files,
which contained the virus.
