Veiwing multiple Web Pages HELP!!!

Until Yesterday, I was able to right click mouse on a
specific link within a web page and choose from
menu 'Open in new window ' and a new window would open
leaving the original window still active. Now when I do
this, the original window closes, leaving only the new
window active. This has left me unable to view multiple
web pages. How can I rectify this problem??
