Hi

In an attempt to fix/find out more about the problem i posted earlier, I
tried increasing my vcore to 1.8 as reading the net people have seemed to
find this helped systems to be more stable at fsb 333. Now my machine
switches off before I can even set it back to auto :(

I have a asus a7n8x deluxe and xp2600+ is there some way of resting the
vcore to default?

Thanks
D

BTW
Does this suggest where my problem might lay?

You are going to need to manually reset the CMOS by setting the jumper to
it's second posision for a couple seconds while the computer is OFF. Check
your motherboard manual on how to clear CMOS.

the cpu is probably running too hot or even the mainboard... that prob is
the reason for the shutdown... check your temps with motherboard monitor
5...

LOL, did you consider that since his system is resetting b4 he can
even enter CMOS setup that perhaps he might not have the ability to
run a Windows program.

There's a very good chance your heatsink isn't making proper contact with
the cpu core. I suggest checking this asap.

I have the same problem, actually. I set it to 1.7 and the computer is
dandy. Set it to 1.8 and all I can do is get down on my hands and knees and
clear CMOS. Hardware's all in their correctly, just don't like 1.8 :(.
