Can I create a movie in movie maker II and then get it
into photo story II so that I can make a vcd that will
play on most dvd players, anyone ???? I don't think I
can make a vcd using movie maker II software, right ?? I
like photo story II because you can make the vcd's, but
this software doesn't have all the "goodies" that movie
maker II has. Is there software that has all the
features that photo story II and movie maker II has and
combined into one package. If so, what software and
where to buy ??
Any help with this topic will be more than greatly
appreciated. Thank you, Chuck.

Hello there,

I wasted money on Photo Story (Don't like software that works the way it wants
rather than the way you want) But from memory it only accepts still images, so
I guess the answer is no.

If you dont want to spend any money and can settle for a bit less quality
then I can tell you a hack I found a while ago which may interest you...
Basically you can force the Photostory's vcd making engine to make vcds of
Movie Maker's outputted wmv files. See this post on WindowsMovieMakers.NET
forums:
http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=4233

Note that I am not very proud of this hack since the quality is below
average. :-(

I would recommend that you use the following two free softwares to make your
VCDs and get much better results:

1. TMPGenc (free for MPEG1)
2. VCDEasy (currently free for small clips < 200Mb. it used to be freeware
previosuly. You can still locate that old version 1.15 on the ineternet).
