I made a DVD project using Ulead DVD Workshop 2 Trial,
based on a video I created in MM2. Now, I finished the
project and I want to burn it. first of all, what is the
difference between a SVCD and a VCD (what they do
diferently AND the actually disc differences). Secondly,
can I burn a SVCD or VCD with a normal CD? If not, what
do I have to get to burn these discs.

thanks.

When i burned an SVCD onto a CD, it wouldn't play
properly. I used Ulead DVD Workshop 2 Trial.

Please help.

I've been trying to get a handle on VCD and SVCD for about a week. Older DVD
players will not play either format. Most newer DVD players will play VCD,
but may not play SVCD. When you find a DVD player that supports the SVCD
format, I think you will be impressed with the quality.

Buy the cheapest player you can find. Made in china/tiwan etc. I have found
the problems only exist with high end players such as Sony.

I see, so I did nothing wrong, the only problem was with
the player? Can I play it on a computer? Which software
plays these discs?

VCD support is built in windows media player. Select menu Play->VCD

SVCD requires mpeg codec. Install trial version of WinDVD. After that
windows media player will be able to play it.
