Vcast software

I purchased a Vcast phone and I am trying to install the music software. The
requirements are Windows Media Player 10 and Windows XP. I have both,
however, when I begin the install, I recieve the following pop up message
from windows media player:

This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version
of Windows. For more information, view the information at the Microsoft web
site.

I don't get it. I can't seem to find help anywhere. Anyone else have an idea??
