I have a vCard file, that I have exported from a mobile unit.

Something tells me that this file shoulb be compatible with Outlook...is
this correct?

However, when importing this file into Outlook, only the first entry shows...

Am I doing something wrong, or is it impossible to get these contacts into
Outlook?

You can open the vCard in Notepad to see what information is actually in
there. What info doesn't Outlook import?

Well, it's mostly a mess when opened in Notepad, but
It think the file is ok, there are a lot of numbers..

Can Outlook use this file in any way?

I need to import the contacts in my new Nokia 9300 soon...

Binaries like pictures will look messy indeed. This is a single contact,
right? Is *.vcf linked to Outlook? What version of Outlook are we talking
about?

It is Outlook 2003 Professional. There are approx two hundred entries in the
file, among them severeral numbers linked to special names(like when you save
numbers on your mobile phone).

I guess the appropriate program should read this just fine. The file size is
approx 250kb, which seems right due to the amunt of entries

What do you mean if the file is linked to Outlook? I have tried to open the
file in Outlook, which Outlook approves, but the sonofabitch only shows the
first entry...I cannot find a way to get it show all the entries...

Is the .vcf format compatible with Outlook?

*.vcf is indeed a format Outlook can support. What format are you using?
Since you are storing all contact in a single file I don't think you are
using a vcf-format. What export options do you have in the other
application? Can't you synch the mobile device directly with Outlook?

Outlook supports only single-entry vCards. You'll need a third-party tool to import a multiple-entry vCard. (Check with your favorite search engine.)

I have no third-party software, I just exported the contacts from a
smartphone(Sony Ericsson P800), and the unit obviously uses this
format(vCard-file).

I guess my challenge will be to find out if Sonyericsson offers any software
to open the file in any way outside the phone.

It seems that Outlook cannot cannot open this file containing many
elements...( strange...)...

Thanks so far!

There should be software for that phone for syncing with Outlook.
