Hi Anver,

The vcard should be saved in your default Personal Address List.

Check and see what the file type property is. It should look like this
(depending on your path to Outlook.exe);
"C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /v "%1"

Hi Roady,

How can I check this
"C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /v "%1"
you mean right click contact or right click vcard. My
outlook is 2000 and using MMserver.
This particular Vcard is send by one of my client, and I
want to save this contact. I can save this as export to
csv format and then import, but it is quiet large
procedure isn't it?

pls help

Best Regards
Anver

Sorry, you can check your file type property by going to Cotrol Panel->
Folder Options-> tab File Types. Scroll down to "VCF".

Hi Roady,
Yes found this under folder, file VCF when I edit I can
find the same which you mentioned.

I have send the same VCF to my home computer and after
opening save and exit, it sccesfully saved. And the same
VCF I send through email to my office it can save as well.
But When my colleague create a VCF and he send through our
internal mail system(MM server and Outlook client200)to
me, unfortunately that is not saving.

pls how can I solve this?

Regards
Anver

Are you both using the same version of Outlook? It could be an
incompatibility between the two.

I'm not really sure on this one but is he using a modified VCF-card? Can
other clients send you a VCF file succesfully?

PMJI, but is he actually sending you a vCard -- i.e. a .vcf file -- or is he sending an actual Outlook contact item? YOu can test by trying to save the attachment with the File | Save Attachments command and check the type type. If it's a contact not a vCard, Save and Close definitely won't work you can just drag it to your Contacts folder or use the File | Copy to Folder command.

Hi Roady,
We are using the same version of OL2000, my colleague
creating new contact and he send as a vcf format(vcard).
I can open and modify whatever on that, but only saving is
not working.
As some one told I can copy this vcard to my contacts
folder.

pls hlp

Anver
