I've been trying to use the iCalendar spec (RFC 2445-2447) to send
appointments and tasks to outlook. Appointment work brilliantly but so far
I haven't gotten tasks (TODO) to work. When I send the task it shows up
with the correct Icon and Outlook recognizes it as a task, in Outlook XP it
even shows the "Accept/Decline" buttons, so obviously it is recognizing it.
However, when attempting to open the task in either outlook 2002 or outlook
XP, I get the message "Can't open this Item. Could not complete the
operation. One or more parameter values are not valid." To try to get it
to work, I decided to actually just send the example from the RFC, but even
that does not work.
Does anybody know if this is possible with outlook or shoudl I stop now and
give up?
Thanks,
Peter Joyce
