VBScript: Remote desktop Disconnected

I have attempted to remotely access the SBS2003 desktop from across
the Internet behind a Linksys BEFSR41 router with firmware dated July
2003. I can connect to the Web site and access email, but I'm unable
to connect to the Server Desktop. I continually recieve the "VBScript:
Remote desktop Disconnected" message prior to connection. I have
pretty much eliminated any security on the Linksys box by putting my
PC into the DMZ and even with that, Disabling the Block WAN requests
and using Port Forwarding, Triggering, and the Upnp features to direct
80, 443, 3389, 4125(saw it somewhere) directly to my PC. I've even
used different PCs - one with 98 one with 2000 and one with XP. The
next thing will be to disconnect the Linksys and direct connect to the
cable modem and get the public IP on my unprotected test machine. Only
a couple things left:1.I'm missing something with SBS2003 security. 2.
Nat to Nat transversal is the problem. 3. My ISP is somehow preventing
the inbound traffic.

Any other ideas?

Can you connect from inside the LAN?
When trying to connect from the Internet, can you ping the TS?

From the FAQ at

nal/terminal_faq.asp

Q. I get Vbscript errors when using the Terminal Services Advanced
Client - what can I do?

A. This usually occurs because the Web control cannot find the
server you want to connect to. See VBScript Error When You Use
Terminal Services Advanced Client (Q282128) for troubleshooting
steps.

The article you refer to verifies access thru port 3389. I am able to
telnet to port 3389 by both ip address and Server Name from across the
Internet. In fact, I can establish a Terminal Services connection and
an XP remote desktop connection to the Server from across the Internet
even behind my other Linksys firewall. I just can't connect using the
2003 SBS provided software.I have attempted to "Connect to Server
Desktops" from across the Internet from a PC without any firewalls now
but I continue to receive the "VBScript: Remote Desktop Disconnected"
error message after a couple of seconds. I'll connect a PC onto the
internal network with the SBS 2003 Server and see what happens when I
get a chance. I suspect a security issue (I missed something?) or a
software glitch on the SBS server is at the heart of my trouble.

I have this same issue with a win2k server running tsweb from client machines. after a minute or so I get the VBScript error, an internal error occurred and it kicks me out of the session. I have struggled for months to find the issue but without any positive results. If you find a solution to this problem please email me (e-mail address removed)
