VBScript Editing issue (PrimalScript

K

Kendric

I use PrimalScript to edit .vbs files. When I right click
a .VBS file I have the option to "Edit With
PrimalScript". I choose this option and then I get the
allow script to run pop-up. I allow the script to run and
select remember this action check box. The .VBS file
executes but does not open for editing. This running of
the script instead of just opening it for editing is
problematic and dangerous. Once I allow the file to run I
can edit it.

I've experienced exactly the same problem with the same
editor, but now that I've tried again, I noticed that this
happens with any editor. Even with notepad this happens.
If I open the *.vbs file directly from the editor
(File -> Open...) this doesn't occurs.

There are a few other reports of the same behavior. It is not just
PrimalScript. Any Open With... that passes the file to another application
as an arg seems to have the same issue. The first time will actually pass
the script to wscript instead of the application. A second attempt may work
correctly. Selecting Block will prevent any open behavior. Bug.
