Recently when trying to use VBA I have been getting
errors.

For example when clicking on the Design Mode icon on the
toolbox in a blank spreadsheet I get:

Preparing to install ...
Installing Microsoft Excell Feature ...
Object Model not Registered.

The help button implies that the software is trying to
load an out of date library, and that I should re-register
my product, but I don't know how to do this. I have tried
uninstalling MS Office Professional and then re-installing
it. But that did not help.

Similar problems occur if I try to open a spreadsheet that
contains VBA code that previously worked fine.

Is this something to do with an automatic windows update
that I have collected recently?

Any ideas please?

Regards, Brian

Thanks Carey,

I could not get that page to open, but I did eventually
find some potentially useful stuff at

http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx?
ICP=GSS3&NewsGroup=microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maint
ain&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-gb;newsgroups

I tried all sorts of things, including editing the
registry all to no avail. Eventually I solved the problem
by downloading shedloads of service packs for MS Office
(which literally took hours and hours to download.).

Thanks for your help,

Regards,

Brian
