I have Windows 7 and am using Access 2003 in which some applications are using VBA that was set up by a former employee that was never replaced. These applications were all working fine until the last person that knew the original processes left at which time we also got new computers. When I open an Access application that utilizes a macro to extract data from an Access table and upload to another program, I initially receive this error.
"database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the 'msxml.dll' version 2.0"
Within the Tools-->References, it indicates that Micorsoft XML, v2.0 is missing, so I deselect the checkbox next to v2.0 & note that Microsoft XML, v5.0 is selected. This however, does not correct the error. When I run the macro I receive an error stating
"Compile error: user-defined type not defined"
Any suggestions?
