¤ Sun and Microsoft. Well, they had been doing it a lot of times anyway...but
¤ from the article, it says that they will retire some softwares from Microsoft
¤ as part of the settlement. does that mean licenses for such softwares are not

It doesn't really matter whether Microsoft discontinues support for a product. Licensing of the
product is still required unless Microsoft states otherwise.
