In brief, I'm getting the dreaded "Service Pak Required you cannot
install this vb5 application without the latest ........." when trying
to execute this exe. I know this subject has been covered, but I'm
going to include a link to an exe file to a thumbnailer that works
great for me on my W98. The install won't work on my XP. I'm not sure
how much work this will be to get it work in xp, but can't hurt to
ask. And I'm not even sure if the program will work. The only
conclusive answer I have found with my research is that if the
original author is not available, that basically you're up a creek. Is
Microsoft doing anything about this? Personally I think it's weak. If
there's anything I can install on my xp machine or if anyone is savvy
enough to make this application work in XP, I would appreciate any
help. The exe file is a pretty small one, 3.8 mb. I have done the
compatibility mode, and no help. Thanks, Dave
