vb.net using email in .net

I heard that vb.net 2005 or 2008 has email capailbity in .net. Can you show
me what code is required to email a message in .net framework? I also want to
include an attachment to this email message. Also what compoents are
required on a server and/or client for the message to be emailed with an
attachement?

You can either use it as a mini framework or at least become aware of some
issues you're gonna hit, especially in regards to authentication.
(Figure them out NOW and EARLY, instead of later, during deployment day)

Code is in C#, but its very easy to follow.
