VB.NET - freezing/hanging IDE

Hi,

When I "run" an app in the VB.NET ide [via the "start" button, etc] - the
entire VB.NET ide/VStudio freezes.... I have to halt the task.

[any app, even just a button on a form]

Any ideas on hat to look for???
