VB.NET and Blackberry

While I know that RIM's Blackberries have their own Java
and C++ development platform, I have heard that programs
can be developed for Blackberries on VB.NET.

Is that true - does anyone have any experience with this?
Or know of any good web links that "talk" about this.

thank you.

The only thing that I can think of that *might* allow it would be AppForge
as they allow VB dev on Palm. No idea if they support RIM.

On the other hand, the API for RIM is so small, it's cake to just use C++
anyway.

Thank you both. I was questioning the source of this
information - especially since I've asked the source to
provide references to his statement and I have yet to get
any.

AppForge works for PPC and Palm - develop once and
distribute to both platforms (in theory).

I would love to develop in C++ - if I knew it. The
followup to this would be - if I were able to pick up the
language - do they have Object based development platforms
for Blackberry - or would this be something to get from
RIM/BB's site.

My apologies for asking a BB question on a .NET based
newsgroup.
