VB help files have broken links.

When I go to the help files, on some topics there are links which link to
info such as 'Applies To" and "Examples". But on many topics somehow the
links have disappeared. All I see are little boxes that don't do anything. Or
some of the imbedded links that display more details, cause an error box to
appear.

I've updated and done a repair and also uninstalled and installed the whole
Office XP suite, including deleting registry enteries I thought would be safe
to delete that referenced access and Office help files. What could be causing
the help links to not work?

Thanks for your help :p

Hi

Sometime last year (not sure when) Microsoft updated the most of thier
website links so that now when you click on a link i9n the help file you are
re-directed to a new link with one of the options saying
Would you like to buy vista (or words to that effect)
Would you like to try Vista (and then buy it)
Isn't Vista wonderfull (would you like to give us some money)
etc
etc

You can find the correct link by going to the main MS site and following the
links from the support page.

Wayne,

Thank you for your reply.

The problem I'm having are the links within the help system. Ones that link
topics to one another. I think my real problem is with the indexing of the
help system. I have a second installation of Windows XP and Office on another
partition and it works there.

I've been TRYING to find info on the help system, but the info seems almost
non-existent.

How do I delete the help system index and allow it to be rebuilt? Even when
I do what I think is a thourough uninstall of office, the help system in VB
still is broken.

Any gurus out there with a tidbit of info that will point me in a direction?
Where is the help system index stored?

Thanks all,
John
