VB code in PPT 2003

I have a Precission M70 by Dell With MS Office 2003 Pro installed (by Dell)
Running XP pro sp 1 & 2. 2gig vm.
My question is: I see a lot of answers to problems solved with Visual
Basic. I followed one thread that said you had to buy VB.net. Do I need to
order this? I do want to learn how to make Macros and try to run some of the
code I have seen in here. I am just beyond the stage where my daughter has
to turn on the computer for me! Any help would be appreciated.

Nope, open PowerPoint and press Alt F-11. That opens the VBA (visual basic
for applications) interface. You're ready to rock and roll.

No, you don't have to buy anything. Most of what is discussed here refers
to VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). This is a form of Visual Basic
that is built into PowerPoint. You can check out the Programming

With that said, if you are really JUST beyond the stage where your
daughter had to turn on the computer for you, this might be a little bit
beyond you. Regual PowerPoint stuff is fine for that stage, but VBA seems
to me to require you to be a little more advanced than that with your
computer skills.
