Various Outlook Problems

I recently switched from Eudora Pro ver. 5.1 (Paid Ver) and am now
using Outlook 2000 SP3 (9.0.0.6627) with XP Pro.

1. Messages in the 'InBox' totally disappear within a day or two. This
started just recently. One was a receipt from Alaska Air for purchased
e-tickets.

2. The 'Help' file tells how to determine the size of a folder, but
not how to increase the size. My 'SentMail' folder is 0 k, which is
possibly why my outbound messages are also disappearing.

3. I'm using OL mostly just for email and am womdering if I'd be
better advised to use OE?

4. I'm also using imap and POPfile.

All suggestions and directions will be appreciated.

Before anything; run Office Update to install Service Pack 3 and additional
updates.

1) Sounds like you have AutoArchive enabled; Tools-> Options-> tab Other

2) No need to set this manually

3) If you only want a mail client OE will work for you too

4) OK

I was able to locate a security update for the various Office 2000
components, but no SP3 pack. Not even sure how to check to see what SP
I have for Office.

Nope, checked this and AutoArchive is NOT checked. If messages are
archived, how woulod I retrieve them so they could be read?
2) No need to set this manually

So, if I ant to save messages in, say, the SentMail folder, how would
I accomplish this?
3) If you only want a mail client OE will work for you too

I like features in OL; what does OE lack that OL does not?

Thanks for your input.
