Hi,

I am currently using Vista, but I want to setup my old computer with a fresh
copy of XP Professional. To make things a little archaic, I chose to use my
six diskette set of XP boot/setup disks. Once finally at the sixth disk, and
just about to get to the stage for setup, I get the following message:

"Value in .SIF file is corrupt or missing. Value 0 on the line in section
[SourceDiskFiles] with key SP2.CAB"

Do I need to find SP2.CAB somewhere, to re-copy? Does this message refer
to diskette #6, or one of the other disks?

Doesn't the PC boot from CD? Booting from the XP install CD is the
recommended, preferred method of installing XP.

Otherwise, you must locate the correct set of boot floppies based on
the XP version and SP level that the install CD is set up with.
