ok, maybe i did not discribe my problem right, when i trying to update
windows 2000 or any other updates, it gives me Genuine validation require,
which means i can not update, because of this requirement. now the next
question, where do i put the number to be register, so i can go on with my
upgrading.

OK - so it asks you to go through the validation process.

It sounds like something isn't going right, because you aren't getting asked
for the product key--it should be quite obvious where to put the numbers in.

Are you running Internet Explorer?

Are you seeing the little yellow alert bar at the top of the screen? You
must click on this bar and authorized downloading of the Validation code to
your machine before the box appears to put the number in.

frist of all, bill thank you for your help. second, i am just having all
kinds of problem with my system, i can not read word or any word software.
third, i do not see the yellow bar. i'm also having all kinds of errors. but
i was thinking of just start from scrathch, like just restalling motherboard
information, window xp,etc ., because i just can get rid of these problesm
that i am having, and this point i can not find the money to purchases any
programs to help clean up my errors, corrupted files, removing useless date,
or fix hard drive errors....i am just all mess up

If you are in the United States or Canada, you can call Microsoft PSS
directly.

1-866-pcsafety. This is a free call if your problem involves security
patches, or virus removal.

I'm not completely sure whether your problem does qualify, but I think this
is worth trying--at a minimum, they should be able to get you to a point
where you can download Microsoft Antispyware successfully.

If you are not in the US or Canada, equivalent help is available, although
the telephone call itself may not be free. Call the local Microsoft
subsidiary, or the phone number for paid support in your area, and ask for
the free help with virus or security patch issues.

I think your set of problems are probably best handled by direct one-on-one
help--so I'd recommend trying this route first--newsgroups aren't
necessarily the best venue for all support issues.
