Validating ASP.NET against SQL Server

Hi Guys..
Does anyone know where i can get a hint of a LOGIN(ASP.NET)
coded in C# or VB.NET that validates against a DB (e.g Username,Pasword)
And if Valid PRINTS the validated UserName on the screen e.g Hello,Joe.
