I ordered a Thermaltake Tsunami Dream last week, and got round to rebuilding my pc in it yesterday. :D

Its a great case, light but strong, easy to build into, and has fantastic cooling.

I lost 5 degrees off the case temp with another 4 degrees coming off the CPU temp, and thats with the fan controller turned down to its minimum of 2400RPM. (3000RPM on the old case) Its comes conplete with 2x 120mm 1300RPM fans front and rear and a 92mm fan in the side blowing over the CPU and RAM.

I had a bit of help from a friend of mine, and i enjoyed the build and learned loads!

Anyway heres a review of it if you want to know more.

And some pictures of mine. :)

Liking that a lot V_R :) I must ask, what's the noise like off that thing?

Ian, its barely audible! Its on 24/7 and doesn't do idle. If it wasn't for the lights i wouldn't know its on! :D

Its in my main living room so it needs to be quiet as i watch t.v and stuff in the same room.

The Tagan PSU is silent, and the Gigabyte cooler is whisper quiet at low rpm's. :thumb:

I put the pics in the gallery now. :)

Cheers Labatts, and thanks for the karma at BBT. ;)

Looks good, VR :)

Consider some wire wool, primer, matt black spray paint and lacqeur for the beige optical drive ;)

I mounted the speed control pot for my Gigabyte cooler and the on/off switch for my neon lights in a spare external 3.5" blanking plate, looks a lot neater. Just a suggestion :)

Ha ha, I know i know the drive needs to be black! The doors a bonus for keeping the thing hidden! :p

I like the idea of that, care to show me a pic or something? :D

I want a tube light and some blue cables, But i need to tidy up the wires, its a bit of a mess at the mo.... :(

alwite

The switch controls two tubes, one purple and one UV.

The UV highlights the UV reactive parts on the board, two UV SATA cables and George, a luminous green pet dragon :D

Ah, i see. Thats cool i like that! :thumb:

I take it you used a dremel or a drill?

Dunno if i'd be confident to do it but its a nice touch. :)

Just a drill for the speed control pot. For the light switch (which comes with the neon tube, btw) I used a big drill and then either a reamer (hand held tool for widening holes) or a file to make it fit.

I drilled slowly with a hand held drill in each case and hoovered away all debris each time, to avoid scratching.

Right, Thats actually simpler than i first thought it would be. Not sure why i thought it would be difficult.....

I like the idea of a switch on the front to turn off the lights, Like when i watch a film/DVD with the lights down and the volume up!

You got me thinking now Flops, Its rare i know, but it does happen......

:)
