For those loyal customers that bought XP with the upgrade coupon and
dutifully followed all the right steps... does anyone know if the upgrade
will be mailed on the release date or will we receive it on the release
date?

Some vendors (Sony in Europe) are currently saying 4 to 6 weeks post
retail availability.
Check with your vendor for their expected ship times.
 
You will not receive it on the release date. Check with the vendor. I
doubt if they will be mailed on the release date either.
 
Isn't my vendor Microsoft? I registered as required and sent them the proof
of purchase and redemption form. I was sent e-mail telling me my credit
card has been authorized and will be charged when the order ships. I guess
I will have to keep an eye on my credit card.

I'm still optimistic that I will get it on the release date. :-)
