UT3, not what i wanted?

After spending the better part of a week on this game... i have to say im not overly fond of UT3.
Dont get me wrong, it looks fantastic and plays great. But, Its not what i expected, in a kinda dissapointing way.
For most people it willl be great game, but for a ut player- it no longer feels like UT. But a more waterdown (slower) paced game, if anything. And the game is lacking in maps, especially CTF games. Where as UT04 had 16 maps when released, UT 3 has 6. Im sure the modding community will cook up some classic maps in no time.

I still play it mind you, but it doesnt have the same hook of Ut 04

Alf, I've heard similar (and worse) criticism out there in Netland, which is why I haven't bought UT3 yet.

It also struck me as significant that of all the recent game releases (Bioshock; Orange Box; CoD4; Crysis) all sold for £30.00 in high street stores, UT3 is selling for £25.00.

That kinda set alarm bells ringing.

We shall see, gotta say I love UT2004, still play that online occasionally.
