usuing a secured database as the data source for a mail merge docu

I have a mail merge document that utilized data from a query in MS Access. I
recently upgraded to Access 2002 and the database security was set up using
the security wizard. Now, I can no longer use the mail merge document to
open the data source. I'm given a message that says Word is unable to open
the data source? Is there any way to fix this?
 
You probably should ask this in the Word group. When you link to a secured
database, there is a way to set up the userid and password in the data
source. It has been about three years since I set one of these up, but I
know it worked. In our case, I think we simply opened the database fiel
first and as long as it was opened, the merge would work, but I could be
mis-remembering.
