When I load Win XP Support Patch For Wi-Fi Protected
Access, I get a screen dump. Looks like there's a problem
with Ndisuio.sys file. Any one knows what's going on?

Tom:
I also downloaded this patch to my desktop and
laptop on a wireless network and things went downhill. I
used the system restore to back out the patch on both
machines and everything was fine after that.

You don't have to use System Restore to back out of a hotfix. You can
simply go into Add/Remove programs and remove the one patch that's causing
a problem if you want. In fact, through add/remove programs you can get
more info on the patch from MS's web site as well.

If you read that you will see that if you install this patch (826942?) you
need to have WPA capable hardware. Some vendors have firmware updates,
but older hardware (like my SMC router and Belkin card) don't. So I just
removed the hotfix. Unfortunately the Belkin tech support guys don't know
about this and they asked me to reinstall Windows...I found out the hard
way that the problem came back after this patch!

I'm using a Linksys router and I've patched its
firmware. When I first install 826942 it works okay,
but, later on after a re-boot it blue screens out with a
dump. Apparently, Microsoft knows that a problem exist
822596 (DHCP Does Not Obtain a New Address When EAP
Reauthenticates Across Access Points with IP Subnets That
Differ) and 826239 ( Small Delay in Logon to Network When
You Use a Wireless Network Connection) My question to
anyone, Have anyone gotten these patches and do they work?

Judging by the number of posts in various newsgroups about "my wireless
network isn't working any more", I suspect there are problems with these
patches.
